Mmm Yummy...

Well nothing major about Red but an update on my leg really...

Well good and bad news really.

Good news first, the cast is off and the bone is healing nicely...

Bad news, and I'm not allowed to weight bear until January :@ and the cast has been replaced by a horrible boot thing, yuk. And although the bone is healing 'nicely,' it's doing so for that area of the bone, which just happens to be the slowest healing part of the leg... Which meanss longer to wait before I can lunge donkeyy, I'm still on crutches. Grr.

But hey ho, life goes on, as it must. At least HOPEFULLY I will be back to normal by the time I go back to school in January after the Christmas holidays...

My Gorgeous Pony (:

2 things really.

Firstly, I managed to sort the video, at last :D

Secondly... I LOVE my pony soo much :D
I was quite worried that as I've not seen him in so long, he'd be like a different pony, but he was soo good :) spent about an hour up there, despite the snow lol. He looks like a bit of a hobo right now, what with the horrible thick winter coat, but aww he's just gorgeous :P The first time I went up to the field he looked really quite disappointed that I didnt take any food up with me, so i went up a second time, armed with carrots, apples and pony nuts, he rewarded me by licking all over my coat :| haha. It's his way of saying thankyou, but does get disgusting after a while :)
I did promise him I would be back next weekend, hopefully to get him on the yard but as long as the field isnt slippery I could always lunge him or something in there :)
so yeah, been a nice day really. there are a load more pictures, but it looks a tad silly trying to cram them all into this space :)
may be an update soon-ish, might just make a small slideshow with the pictures in it :) x

My Poor Forgotten Pony :(

Going to the farm for the first time in 3 and a half weeks tomorrow :O my poor fatty...
i feel so bad for 'abandoning' him, but attempting the track on crutches in this weather is like asking for death really... hah. so i will get some photos of the po (:

BUT... next wednesday i will be allowed to put weight on/walk on my broken leg (fingers crossed) so maybe next weekend i will get the fatboy in from the field, or get someone else to do it for me, and actually spend some quality time with him for the first time in about 2 months, grooming him and stuff and then maybe do some groundwork with him in the school. thats if the weather is GOOD... i feel guilty just writing this, im such a bad person haha.

Oh and I'm currently working on a joint Red/Chester video for myself and Sam (wigsrcool) after many many MANY attempts of doing Red's second 2008 video. >:( But hopefully this will work :D

So yeah, keep your eyes peeled for a few pictures of the Donkey Boy :) and then some videos next weekend.. (yn) x

Towerlandsss!

Went to Towerlands today, to watch the Masters International Showjumping, and had a fabb day (: We saw the 125cm Speed Stakes, 5 & 6 year old classes, The Masters, Topscore, The 2 Fence Challenge (basically a puissance) and the Shetland Grand National :)

Although the day didnt start well... I kind of fainted while we were shopping at the beginning, probably because I skipped breakfast, but then I never eat breakfast anyway. So I was just standing there, next minute I feel dizzy, and then I'm on the floor... fun! Luckily no-one was around to see haha. And luckily I didnt land on my leg, how traumatic would that have been?!

But yeah, the jumping was good, saw a few famous faces and their lushh horses :D really had the urge to knock the top poles off all the fences and just ride round the course at about 3ft haha.

I invested in some new stirrup irons, with some lovelyy springs in them, which should make it more comfortable when I come to ride properly, they shouldn't strain my ankle quite as much once the cast is off. Anddd they're wide enough to fit my cast in haha! So once I can put weight on my leg, I want to rideeee :D obviously won't be the same, but it's something... I've not seen the donkeyboy for about 2 weeks now :( I've been told he's doing fine though, but it's actually killing me.

Anyway yeah, no major news but it's been a longg day. x

Finally got WMM going again, although it wasnt the video I had wanted that worked... oh well, hopefully this means it will work when I do Red's :)

After many failed attempts...

with a title like that i'm guessing you thought i'd have got this video sorted.

but no. WMM, as usual, is being very prickish... so this 2nd video is taking longer than i expected. in other words, i've been working on this since... thursday maybe? and am still left with the first 10 seconds of video, how disappointing. so i've made a backup plan... in the form of Roxio... hopefully it might work. (yn)

sometimes makes you wonder why you bother. lol.

ohh and i've decided i'm going to attempt sitting on the Donkster once the doctors say i can put weight on my leg... not that they will know this, but still. he's been a prat with everyone else... so i'll lunge him for ages first, get some energy out of him lol.

Seeing as things are changing fairly rapidly right now, I thought it would be a good idea to track our progress with having a blog :)

So my name's Charlotte, I'm 16 and I'm currently at 6th form, but the most important thing in my life right now is my pony on loan, Red. He' s a 17 year old, 14.1hh Chestnut Reg. Welsh Sec D, and I've had him for roughly 2 and a half years now. He's fab, he may sound like nothing special but he fills a gap that only a pony can :)
